The Cries of the Broken

Surely You see
Surely You care
Surely You are moving
As the cries of the broken
Hit Your ear

I see You lean down
You lean in
You wait
You listen
You put Your hand by Your ear so You can hear the cries
Then You put Your hand upon Your heart
Aching with them

Abba, the goodness of Your heart reaches and rescues
The desire of Your holy being
Is that those in darkness will see Your great light
That those who are lonely would encounter You

You are the beautiful God
And You have a beautiful heart
And it beats and waits and longs and aches

Every moment as the whispers come up to Your ears
You stop, Your attention is toward these ones
Your heart is moved
And You move
You deliver these ones
For this is Your glory and Your great delight

God of the Broken

The beautiful, wonderful thing about You
Is that
You see
You hear
and You have compassion

You are the God who sees
and hears
and loves to move on behalf of those who cry out to You

You love to help the helpless
You love to meet with
and Father the fatherless
You are good and You are kind
And there is none like You
Not one
Who acts on behalf of the broken
Like You act on behalf of the broken

You fight on behalf of the afflicted ones
You don’t pass the weak by
You stop and look upon the ones in need
with love
You pick them up
And You love them freely

You are the God of the broken
You are the God of the weak, the poor, the fatherless, those in need
You are the God of me

The Fatherless

Just another day of entering into His heart, His desires, His longings,
For those who cannot even cry out for themselves

Abba, let our hearts be intertwined with Yours in
Your deep ache,
Your deep burden,
Your deep affection
For the fatherless

Abba, the little ones,
the broken ones,
the hurting ones,
they are so close to Your heart,
So close
So in need

Abba, please reveal Yourself
And Your heart
And Your affections
And Your longings to
the fatherless, the widow,
the afflicted, the lonely

Please answer their cries and bring to them life!

Loving the Least

Surely You care
Surely You will come
Surely You will make all things right

Why do the poor move you?
Why do the afflicted move you?
What about the fatherless
and the widow?

Those the world could care less about
Move You deeply
For they know their need
They know they are dependent

You say to those who love You
Take care of these weak ones
I care for them
And I want you to care like I do
I want to give you My compassion
For without My compassion, My mercy, My great love
You have nothing

Take hold of my heart today
For I love the least

In loving the least
You will see My heart for you
When you understood you were the least too
Say yes to this invitation
And you will find life

Go to the weak, the poor, the broken,
Find My life in the least
And you will find your own life in Me
